Organization Goals

RESD's organizational structure stems in part from the vision for the organization as it is embodied in its goals. Each goal should address a single theme, and although multiples goals may sometimes require balancing, the individual goals should be generally compatible with one another.

The following is a summary listing of the goals for RESD's organization and business processes.

Organizing Principles

RESD's structure is based on a number of organizing principles. These principles flow from RESD's Organization Goals, the best practices found in other governmental agencies and the private sector, and the need to improve various existing DGS practices. The principles directly affecting RESD's structure are summarized below. Each individual, branch, and the RESD Executive Management Team is committed to supporting one another in carrying out these organizing principles.
